Lightbringer reicives a bonus, so should it's sister title (imo), Sunspear.
Explorer - +5% Movement speed in towns/outpost.
Skill Hunter - Cheaper Capture Signets (not the best idea for this title)
Protector/Guardian - +5/10 armor bonus in titled region.
Vanquisher - +5% Damage in titled region
Survivor - +25/50/75hp (variant on rank)
I'm sure there are many more ideas out there.
Feel free to post your additions.

I think this is a nice idea. It's not anything so big that the people who don't want to go for the titles would have to start doing it. To me it just sounds like a nice little extra reward for those who want to get the titles. After all, the only things you get from them these days are the option for show your title under your character name and a record in the Hall of Monuments.

Now that I think about it, this does sound like something Anet would do. As long as it doesn't affect the almighty PVP.

As someone against all the PvE skill stupidity, I can't say I'm thrilled with the idea of more bonuses.

Seriously...why do people get so up in arms about buffs to PVE CHARACTERS as a reward for time spent? My +50hp and +10 armor and +5% damage won't affect you at all. Hell, you can use consumables to get all of that on one single character. There's no difference either...someone spent time to get the titles so they get the buffs full-time. Someone else spent money to get the consumables...equates to much less "time spent", and gets temporary renewable bonuses.
If it's skill > time spent...that applies IMO only to PvP. That's what the 20 level cap is made for, that's what the skill balance is supposed to be for, and that's what the set attributes are for. The threw balanced PvE out the window when they made the AI cheat. HUGE example is the toucher gate to Selvetarm. Two disenchant spirits like 5 feet from each other. If I can't do that on my rit, the AI shouldn't either.

Your "IMO" is very sweet and all but that's not what GW's box is saying.

Your suggestion for Explorer is the only one I would approve of.
Any title that gains a functionality from here on out should be limited to an effect that is separate from how they can play.

Starting from Nightfall, effects on grind titles like Lightbringer's attack boost/damage reduction already spell big disaster for any casual players who want to join groups. Countless times got kicked just because not having GRINDED as much points as the next guy.
Don't make the game any more worse than it is now! If anything they should remove all associations to the grind titles and scale everything on primary attribute instead.

Yes it will affect other people. If you have a title and I don't (because I don't own the campaign that it is in... or because I don't have the time to drink 10000 ales or the e-bayed money to get that) it impacts a groups choice to choose you for a group over me.
Exclusive bonuses leads to elitism. Hell, people are already elitest in PvP over titles that just display a small text string under people's names. Imagine how elitest people will be in PvE when that little text actually has noticable game advatanges.

The only PvE title bonuses I will advocate implementing are those which have no effect on the actual battle mechanics. So the explorer and skill hunter works for me. Skill hunter sounds very similar to the wisdom and treasure hunter title bonuses.

To all who went "OMG not signed because GW is about skills":
Exactly the reason why I have to grind my titles to improve on the imbalanced PvE skills. Since this is Grind Wars anyway, why not make it even more imbalanced. Anet need something to keep the players playing for TWO years until GW2 comes out anyway.
